About the program
Business Development, Innovation and SMEs Bulgaria is a business development program that aims to increase the value creation and sustainable growth of Bulgarian business. The Program is part of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, which aims to help reduce economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area (EEA) and to strengthen bilateral relations between Norway and the beneficiary countries.

Specific areas of the program:
Business Development, Innovation and SME Bulgaria will aim to stimulate and develop long-term business cooperation between Norway and Bulgaria on the basis of business development and innovation. The aim is to allocate 75% of the funding to small and medium-sized enterprises. Priority will be given to bilateral partnership projects that offer added value.
The program consists of two focus areas:
- Innovation in the green industry (At least 50% of funding will be allocated to GII)
- Well-being technology
