
Shishedjam Automotive Bulgaria and Academica Sea Palace are the first companies to receive money under the 60 to 40 scheme. The glass factory in Targovishte will be supported with the largest amount – BGN 62,487, so as not to lay off workers. The company will save 391 employees. The company produces car windows and glasses for white goods. The company, an investor in hotels on the Black Sea coast “Academica Sea Palace” with 39,700.32 levs per 100 employees, also benefited from the scheme. Third in terms of compensation is the tour operator Sunny Travel in BGN 28,349.09 for 65 employees, BTV reported.
As of today, the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) has started paying the first business compensations under the 60/40 scheme. Compensation for March is received by 68 employers for a total of 1,065 employees. The total amount is BGN 274,273.71, of which BGN 230,261.87 are payments of remuneration, and the rest – social security contributions.
Among the first applicants under the scheme are companies from the tourism, hotel and restaurant and transportation sectors, according to a reference in the National Social Security Institute. Both small companies and large employers are approved.
According to the government scheme 60/40, the state covers 60% of the insurance income and the insurance of workers in companies with discontinued activity or reduced by more than 20% income.
The compensations are paid separately for each month after the end of the respective month.
